Splitting an ETSF Consignment

Sequoia v1 onwards

Overview

An ETSF Consignment can only have one import Declaration or Removal linked to it. Normally this is sufficient as one Consignment relates to one import of goods to one importer and can therefore be covered by one import Declaration. However, there are circumstances when more than one Declaration or Removal is required against one Consignment. In these circumstances you can 'split' a Consignment in order to process more than one Declaration or Removal against the goods contained therein. Note that you can only split a consignment at the lowest level. so if you have a master consignment with houses, you can only split at the house level. if you have a basic consignment you can split that

A Consignment can be split into up to 99 individual sub-Consignments.

How to Split a House Consignment

Locate the ETSF Consignment record that you wish to split by clicking on the ETSF module at the bottom left hand side of the screen. Next, click on the ETSF Consignments folder at the top left hand side of the screen. All of your ETSF Consignment/ Consolidation records will appear in the List Panel to the right of the ETSF Consignments folders. Double click on the record that you wish to split and the ETSF Consignment editor will open.

Please note that you can only split a Consignment if it is 'arrived' and the number of packages expected in the NPX box is more than 1.

Click on the New Split button on the toolbar towards the bottom of the ETSF Consignment editor.

Split rows will then appear below the New Split button in the ETSF Consignment editor.

Please note that the list automatically includes two rows representing two Splits. You cannot create only one Split for a Consignment.

The first Split is displayed in the first row with '01' automatically entered into the Split column. This row also displays the number of packages in the NPX column and the gross weight in the GWT column. You should adjust these to reflect the number of packages and weight that you wish to apply to the first Split. When you do this you will see that the NPX box and the GWT box in the row below, which represents the second split, will automatically adjust to show the remaining balance.

As you adjust these amounts the row below, which has '02' automatically entered into the Split column and represents the second Split, will automatically adjust to display the remaining balance of goods.

Enter the information described in the table below into the row that represents each Split in the ETSF Consignment editor. You can type in the information by clicking in each corresponding column in the row.

Once the information has been transmitted to CCS-UK the split Consignment records will appear on the ETSF Consignments list.
